How does it work?
Air is a gas. For the same volume, it is lighter than oil. It is said that it is less “dense.” It goes back to the surface! If the tube is horizontal, flat, the bubble jams against the top wall. But if the tube is tilted, the bubble can go up! The mason uses a tube a little inflated in the center. Thus, on flat ground, the bubble is wedged in the middle of the tube. The wall will be straight!
